Arranging a funeral is one of the most stressful experiences you can undertake. Amid the emotion associated with the loss of your
loved one, you will need to make choices and decisions that you hope would best reflect their wishes.
We understand this, which is
why we will give you the time you need to guide and support you through this difficult time.
We will take you through all your options
and give you all the information required.
We will liaise with clergy or officiant, crematorium or cemetery, newspapers, florist and
caterers, should they be required.
And, as members of the Society of Allied Independent Funeral Directors and the National Association
of Funeral Directors, all options and their associated cost are fully explained by us and a written estimate will be provided before
any funeral takes place.
Furthermore, our services do not end when the funeral is over.
We can assist if you want to purchase a headstone,
arrange an ashes interment or simply wish to arrange your own funeral when the time comes.
Once the funeral is over, you
may want to choose an appropriate headstone or other memorial marker. We have a range of options and style which we will be happy
to show you. Or you may already have a headstone in place, which you would like to add an inscription to. We can help you with organising
all of the above.
We can also assist with the cleaning and re-fixing of existing headstones Ė even if we didnít carry out the original
More than a million people in Great Britain have taken out a pre-paid funeral plan.

of the families we have helped and supported have already established a relationship of trust with us. So who better then to advise
you on such a sensitive topic and assist you with all the details?
A Bonnyrigg Funeral Directors pre - paid funeral plan can help
to ease the financial burden for you and your loved ones. Paying for your funeral plan in advance enables you to fix our funeral director's
costs at today's prices. At a local level, our own experience has demonstrated that the average cost for a cremation in Edinburgh
and the Lothianís last year cost between £3,500 and £4,000, whereas a burial costs substantially more Ė between £4,500 and £6,000.
So planning ahead really does make financial sense.
You can choose to pay for your funeral plan by a single payment or by instalments.
Depending on your choice, your money is paid into a Trust or to one of the UKís leading life assurance companies.

My Funeral Wishes
We appreciate that not everyone may want, or be able to,
take out a pre-paid plan. You may not be able to afford to do so right at this moment in time.
Or you have a friend or family member
in palliative care who you would simply like to assist in putting together an End of Life document so you and they have peace of mind
knowing that their final wishes have been recorded.
We provide a completely free service, whereby you can record your wishes with
us. We will keep your instructions safe until they are required. You will also be given a copy to keep at home. All you need to do
is let someone you trust know where to find it when the time comes or tell them to contact us.
You can take advantage of this free
service along with arranging a pre-paid funeral plan through us. Or you can simply take the opportunity to think about what's important
to you and have those wishes documented for the future.
